When life begins, we begin to form connections with the world around us—connections with other people, but also with places, with animals and other organisms, with objects, shapes, and ideas.
Some of these connections we maintain, some we break or let be broken.
The richness of life can be seen as the number and quality of these connections.
In this particular series I am using two kinds of black tape and a string of black thread. These "ingredients" are attached to the surface with an acrylic polymer. Each piece in this series has the exact same contents, just rearranged differently on the surface of the gessoed masonite.
